If you're a beginner, let us know and we'll hook you up with a beginner board and paddle which will be perfect for you. You can rent SUP boards individually or you can rent SUP boards for an entire group. SUP is a super fun and affordable Maui ocean activity for beginners and experts. At MOR we provide free ground lessons for beginners.

Cove Park (Kihei) is great for beginners! A small beach with shallow water, the waves are consistent but it might be crowded.
Launiupoko Beach is great for those with a little experience! A local spot with nice consistent waves. Just a few miles before Lahaina Town.
Kanaha Beach is the finish line for elite World SUP Downwind Competitions. A local spot for windsurfing, kiteboarding, SUP, surfing & fishing. It's not your typical tourist spot. Located just outside of Kahului Town near the airport.
Makena Landing - Early mornings are best for good parking & a calm bay that is great SUP for beginners & advanced riders. Beautiful rocky coastline & great water visibility. Excellent chance to spot Honus & Manta Rays. You might even see a Hawaiian Monk Seal!
Kama’ole Beach Park II - Easy access to the water from a short walk from the parking lot. Great to paddle to the north or to the right from the beach, let the wind take you back to your launch spot. Enjoy a scenic paddle along the coast with many Honu to be seen.
If you are staying at an ocean front condo in Kihei / Wailea all spots in front of your condo are generally great for SUP! Be sure to paddle north or to the right & let the trade winds help you back to your beach.
Olowalu Beach - Enjoy a nice paddle over a fascinating coral head! Bring your snorkel & mask to enjoy the underwater sights. Expect to see Honu & possibly the Hawaiian Monk Seal that lives in the area.
